Project 213A presents “ROSTOS” - artworks from Tom R Porter and Quoi Alexander, exhibited alongside the brand’s artisanal objects.
Between 2021 and 2024 Project 213A invited these two artists to their studio in Maceira de Sarnes to produce artworks in their disciplinary
practice, supporting the brand’s vision to create in Portugal. From 03rd-20th August, a curated selection of these works from all
three parties will be presented in Melides Galeria from 03rd - 20th August.

Quoï Alexander completed his BA and is currently working on his MA at Central Saint Martins. Alexander's work is known to span painting, clothing design, material innovation and creative direction.  After working for several fashion houses in Paris and London he created his eponymous label and showed his work at the Victoria & Albert Museum and Palais de Tokyo supported by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. His work stretches from large scale figurative painting, garment design and innovative materials research. 

Tom Porter is a London-based artist known for his multidisciplinary approach to creative expression. His background in photography led him to experiment with developing images of his ceramics as well as everyday objects. Tom graduated with a photography BA from Falmouth University in 2013 and moved in 2016 to London where he assisted in the field of interior design and also working with White Rabbit Studios. Tom creates unique and tactile art that can sit within printed or physical form.

Joseph O’Neal (born.1983 in North Carolina) paints non-objective imagery in conjunction with words, names, and dates to prompt an ambiguous field of opportunities. Living and working in Easton, Pennsylvania, O’Neal has participated in group and solo exhibitions throughout the United States, Europe, and Mexico. These include three iterations of A Sunday in Soho; a notable large-scale two person exhibition held in Basel, Switzerland in 2011, 2015, and Zürich in 2018. O’Neal’s work has appeared in publications such as The Basler Zeitung, Sensitive Skin Magazine, Art Rated, Still Developing: A Story of Instant Gratification, Lula Japan, as well as interview features with Telebasel, and NPR.

Santiago was born on August 10, 1963 in Oaxaca, Mexico, where he was raised and still lives today. He grew up with a strong indigenous influence from his Zapoec father, who is also a painter.Santiago is humble and at times shy, he is grateful for the relationships he has built with the people of Oaxaca and always enjoys conversations with travelers visiting Mexico. He has a reputation of being a kind, sensitive artist who enjoys life and embraces daily economic challenges that face Indigenous artists in Mexico. The simplistic beauty of nature moves Santiago, and his paintings express this love and surrounding environment. Trees and people morph together connecting them to each other while often expressing something higher unfolding within the ordinary.
